The Westchester Stake Young Single Adults have reserved Camp Liahona for the weekend of August 13 & 14. All YSA's from everywhere are invited to come to enjoy what Camp Liahona has to offer when we all get together. With an opportunity to dance all night and crash in your tent till the wee hours of the morning. Then play in the great outdoors on Saturday!

Food arrangements:

Friday night there will be Hot Dogs, chips, soda & other munchies provided. Along with marshmallows for the fire. Saturday morning there will be a continental breakfast of muffins, cereal, fruit etc... Saturday day there will a lunch provided also.

Registration:

The camp charges a certain fee per person for usage. To cover food and camp fee, we are requesting to provide $8 per person. To pay, there will be a container at the dance to put the money in. No one person is collecting or counting so you can pay anytime during the activity.

Swimming: The water will be warm and there is a small beach for entering the lake and you can even build a sand castle! Be sure to bring your swim suit.

Canoeing: Canoes are available to use. Life preservers are required and supplied. Camp rules requires one to be able to swim in order to use the rowboats or canoes.Let's play tip the other guy over!


Field: There is a field to play soccer, frisbee, egg toss, or any other activity.Let's Dive!


Hiking: There are trails close to the Camp called Adirondack & the famous Appalachian trail which wraps around a mountain and goes on for miles for those adventurous hikers.

Indoors: If there happens to be bad weather, the indoor gym has been reserved. It contains a basketball court, table and chairs. This is where the dance will be at.For crashing inside


Campfire:After dark there will be a large fire made to roast marshmellows etc...Let's play tip the other guy over!

Take 684 North, which becomes Rt.22. Stay on Rt. 22 until Rt. 55(North of Paterson). Take Rt. 55 West over 2 hill tops(about 10 miles). Come down the 2nd hill into the town of Holmes. Turn left onto Rt. 292 South. Camp Liahona is 1 mile down the road on the left. If you see the boat docks on the lake, you’ve gone too far. The lake is Whaley Lake.Let's play tip the other guy over!

Other information


Camping:

Everyone is invited to come camping, but co-ed tents are prohibited since this is a church sponsored activity

Facilities:

The restrooms are very clean can be used for changing clothes for swimming if needed/showering/putting on makeup etc...
